Service Personnel Employee of the Year
Triadelphia Middle School teacher aide Michael Lee was named as the Ohio County Schools Service Personnel Employee of the Year at the April 30 meeting of the Ohio County Board of Education. Lee has been employed by Ohio County Schools since 2011. He is shown with Ohio County Schools Superintendent Kimberly Miller and Board of Education President Zach Abraham.

Teacher of the Year
Wheeling Park High School Career and Technical Education Department teacher Aaron Fedorke was named on April 8 as the 2019-2020 Ohio County Schools Teacher of the Year. He is now in contention to be named as the West Virginia Teacher of the Year.

The Ohio County Board of Education will hold its regular meeting at 6 p.m. on July 22 at the Board Office at 2203 National Road.

Wheeling Park High School German students recently celebrated Oktoberfest in traditional style. On Oct. 7, the students dressed in the traditional Bavarian costumes called Lederhosen and Dirndl, which were first worn by farm workers.
