Option 1: Online Safety Videos

Encova Insurance Safety & Loss Control offers the capability of online safety video training. We have partnered with the Training Network to offer nearly 600 safety training titles that can be used to specifically tailor your safety training needs. Training videos regarding Human Resources topics such as management and compliance, conflict resolution and workplace harassment are also available behavior/Mental Health:

  1. Go to https://www.trainingnetworknow.com/

  2. Enter the User Name: OhioCountyBoardOfEducation@brickstreet.com

  3. Enter the Password - BSI2017 (Do Not Change This Password!)

  4. Click “Browse Videos” to browse by topic or search using the Search box.

  5. Click on the video title or thumbnail image and click the “Play Video” button to play.

  6. When you click on the video, it will open and provide additional information bout the video. The lower left-hand corner has additional documents related to the video.

  7. When you are finished watching the video, a button will appear for you “to take the quiz”.

  8. Once you complete the quiz, please click on the submit button.

  9. Once submitted, please send the completed quiz and results to: jaswagne@k12.wv.us

Option 2: Autism Focused Intervention Resources and Modules (AFIRM):

  1. Go to https://afirm.fpg.unc.edu/afirm-modules.

  2. Click “sign up” in the upper right-hand corner.

  3. Create a new account and make note of your sign-in information.

  4. Once logged in, click on “Afirm Modules” at the top left.

  5. Scroll through the modules until you find one of interest. Click “select module.”

  6. Scroll through the preview to the bottom of the page and click “start certificate track.”

  7. There is no need to select modules for CE credit.

  8. Work through the module be sure to print, save, or take a picture of your certificate for each module.

  9. Completed certificates can be sent to Jen Wagner at the board office or via email at: jaswagne@k12.wv.us

You can complete any modules you find interesting, but the suggested modules that can apply to all students (and not just students with autism) are:

  • Antecedent-Based Intervention

  • Functional Communication Training

  • Modeling

  • Prompting

  • Reinforcement

  • Visual Supports

If you work with a student with autism or other special needs, you might also consider taking the following modules:

  • Introduction to ASD

  • Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS)

  • Discrete Trial Teaching

  • Task Analysis

  • Video Modeling

Option 3: Autism Internet Modules (AIM):

  1. Go to https://autisminternetmodules.org.

  2. Click “create an account” in the upper left corner.

  3. Create a new account and make note of your sign-in information.

  4. Once logged in, click on “dashboard” on the left side.

  5. Under “Module Navigator” select “browse alphabetically.”

  6. Scroll through the modules until you find one of interest. Click on the desired module.

  7. Complete the module. There is no need to select modules for CE credit or pay tokens for modules. Instead, after completing the module, scroll through your results and select “Print Assessment Results” at the bottom of the page. You can save this page, print it, or take a picture of it to get credit.

  • Preparing Individuals for Employment

  • Structured Teaching

  • Discrete Trial Teaching

  • Using Special Interests in the Classroom

  • Video Modeling

Option 4: ACES-Early Trauma Online Learning:

  1. Go to https://www.acesonlinelearning.com.

  2. Click on “start training.”

  3. Progress through the modules and be sure to print, save, or take a picture of your certificate at the end.

  4. Completed certificates can be sent to Jen Wagner at the board office or via email at: jaswagne@k12.wv.us
