Teacher and Principal Training & Recruiting Fund
Title II is one of several programs funded under the No Child Left Behind Act signed into law by President George W. Bush on January 8, 2002. The purpose of Title II is to prepare, train, and recruit highly qualified teachers and principals. Ohio County Schools uses Title II funds primarily for professional development. Two reading interventionists, and one math interventionist are employed using these funds. Two private schools and five parochial schools located in Ohio County receive equitable Title II funds.
Teacher Induction Program (TIP)
The Teacher Induction Program (TIP) is a three-year program for teachers entering the teaching profession or the Ohio County School System. TIP is designed to develop a strong collegial network, to provide knowledge of current classroom research, and to disseminate up-to-date information about our system.
