Bridge Street Theater Department to Present The Lion King

Bridge Street Middle School will present “The Lion King, Jr.” at 7 p.m. on March 10 and at 3 p.m. on March 11 at the Wheeling Park High School J.B. Chambers Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students. Tickets can be purchased beginning Monday at Bridge Street Middle School or at Performing Arts Center box office for each performance.

At the heart of the Lion King story is the ability to forgive ourselves for the past, the mistakes we have made and the things we can't change. It also inspires us to look to the future with pride at how far we've come on our journey, and how much more there is to learn and experience in the world around us.

Bridge Street music teacher Julie Schultz selected this production for the theater department because she feels that the moral of the story is relatable to middle school students. The story relates the importance of relationships and how people can help one another to achieve a goal. This is the seventh production for the Bridge Street Middle School theater department and it will feature students in grades six, seven, and eight. Mrs. Schultz and her students look forward to sharing this musical adventure!
