Young ladies are the leaders at Wheeling Middle School.

Dr. Miller visited Wheeling Middle Thursday as part of her annual Student Forums, and she spoke to members of Student Council, each of whom are exceptional girls.

The students expressed pride in the school’s community service efforts. They specifically mentioned their involvement in “Helping Heroes” and their work in community cleanup projects and donation drives.

They told Dr. Miller they believe there should be continued efforts to support students’ mental health, and positive behavior and respect should always be a priority. They each said they believe they have someone to turn to if they need help, and they cited Ms. Strope and Mr. Huesel as a couple of the school’s most popular teachers.

The students said they are looking forward to attending Wheeling Park High School. They said said they are excited about the academic and extracurricular opportunities as Patriot students. They also said they are excited about the amazing facilities at Park.
