This Saturday, the Wheeling Park Science Bowl Team competed in the state-wide tournament.
In December, over 60 teams in the state competed. Ultimately, 24 teams moved on to the state competition. The morning of the competition focused on round robin play with Wheeling Park High School finishing with a 4-1 record. Double elimination followed in the afternoon with the other 8 remaining teams.
Losing the first round to Team 1, Morgantown, WPHS was sent to the loser's bracket, but persevered onward to win the next three matches!
WPHS Science Bowl Team ultimately finished third place in the state. Thank you team for representing our school. A huge thank you to OCS coach, science teacher Kevin Orth, for sharing your time and talents!
