Warwood School partnered with the State Treasurer’s Office to launch the new statewide SMART529 “Fund the Future” Sweepstakes.
West Virginia’s SMART529 college savings plan is well known for its “When I Grow Up” essay contest, and “Fund the Future,” according to State Treasurer Riley Moore, is a “new sweepstakes to encourage West Virginia students and their families to save for higher education and provide the opportunity for them to win a large cash prize that will be invested in SMART529 Account.”
The launch event for this new sweepstakes will took place this afternoon at Warwood School. All information was introduced by Treasurer Moore. He spoke with Warwood students not only about the sweepstakes details, but also highlighted ways to save for higher education.
The contest deadline is May 22nd, and one winner will be awarded $15,000 to be invested in a SMART529 account. The sweepstakes is open to any West Virginia child ages birth to 17 Visit www.wvtreasury.com after April 10th for more information about the sweepstakes.
