CIS and Women’s Giving Circle
In February, the Women’s Giving Circle, through Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley, was able to provide grant funding to Warwood School for their “Jazz up the Stalls program.” The thought process behind the grant was to have a space that offered positivity for students., “We thought it would be good to motivate the girls.  If we make the stalls look good, then people will feel good!”  6th grader Trinity states.

Through the Communities In Schools Ohio County program and with the help of Viking Enterprises (Warwood’s simulated workplace), the stalls now have a facelift with fresh paint, positive artwork and quotes, and brand new receptacles for hygiene products.  “We know this program will encourage healthy development and autonomy,” states CIS.

Today was the unveiling, and all we can say is, “WOW!”  The students have put in a lot of work to create something so special!  Thank you to a the Women’s Giving Circle for joining us.  It would not have been possible without their support as well as the support of Marketing Management at Wheeling Park High School and Mr. Wilbert Myers whose class constructed the table being utilized in the bathroom.
