Dee Stan has been selected as the 2021-2022 Elm Grove Elementary School Service Personnel Employee of the Year.
Stan joined the Elm Grove staff as an aide at the start of the 2017-2018 school year, and she currently serves as the school’s secretary. She was hired by Ohio County Schools in 2003, and she has served at Wheeling Park High School, Bridge Street Middle School and Middle Creek Elementary School. Elm Grove Principal Rick Dunlevy said Stan is an enthusiastic member of the Dragon team.
“She has a positive welcome for our visitors, and she’s been fantastic in adjusting to her new job.” he said. “She decorates the office for the students, and they love her enthusiasm. She handles all situations from a jammed copier to a student's scraped knee. Mrs. Stan is willing to help anyone in the school. Everyone enjoys her hospitality and positive attitude.”
“This is so humbling,” Stan said. “I truly love working with the children of Ohio County, and I feel honored to work with such amazing people. Thank you so much for this recognition.”
