dentist and patient talking
In Ohio County Schools, we love to recognize our amazing alumni!  Say hello to Dr. Annie Fox, the newest dentist at Taylor Family Dentistry.

Fox attended St. Clairsville Elementary before heading to Ohio County as a Viking at Warwood Middle School and ultimately, a Class of 2017 Wheeling Park High School Patriot.

Fox went on to WVU where she graduated in 2021 with a degree in biology before attending the WVU School of Dentistry.  She officially became “Dr. Fox” in 2025!

Fox stayed busy during her time in Ohio County Schools: “During high school, I danced at a local dance studio- LDT Dance Centre. I participated in the theatre department at Wheeling Park.  I did a play, three musicals, and took several theatre classes. I was also a part of the radio and tv department for three years.”

And how did staying busy affect Fox? “All of the ‘extras’ I participated in at school improved my overall self confidence. I was a pretty shy kid, so performing and reading the school news definitely made me more comfortable during interviews and meeting new people. It’s transferred to my life today too.  It helped my  ability to talk with patients and try to make them feel more comfortable in the dental chair.”

Advice for current and future students? “Find what you love to do and give it your all! Stay in school as long as you need to, especially if it applies to your field of interest…and go to the dentist regularly!”

Those are definitely words to live by, Dr. Fox!  Welcome back to the area! Do you have an alumni story?  We’d love to feature you!  Email kbutyn@k12.wv.us for more information or fill out the pinned alumni survey at the top of our Facebook page.  #alumnispotlight #alumnistories #TogetherWeAchieve
