Say, “Hello!” to Class of 2008 Wheeling Park High School Michael Behrens.

Michael Behrens Jr. is currently a managing Immigration Attorney for a nationwide multi-practice area law firm.

Behrens is a Triadelphia, WV, native, where he attended Middle Creek Elementary School and Bridge Street Middle School before graduating from Wheeling Park High School in 2008 in the top 10 of his class.  Behrens has spent the past decade building a remarkable legal career rooted in purpose, passion, and service.  He earned his degree from West Virginia University in 2012 and then completed his law degree immediately after at WVU Law School’s Immigration Law Clinic in 2015.  Behrens headed to Colorado before taking the Bar Exam and passing on his first go.

Behrens has been working in immigrant communities as a lawyer for a decade.

Most recently, Behrens was recognized by Marquis Who's Who, a century-old publication that honors individuals for their notable contributions in their fields.

Behrens remembers his Spanish teacher, Mrs. Peggy Dolan, fondly.  She inspired him to become fluent in Spanish, a tool he uses to ensure communication never wavers.   Behrens also credits his middle school math teacher, Anne Paul, and his debate teacher, Carla Stone for cultivating his desire to learn and passion for advocacy.

Behrens currently resides in Nevada with his high school sweetheart, Sarah, where they developed a true passion for trivia, and of course, and music bingo. They look forward to many more years of serving others and seeing the world together.

You can see adult Michael getting his groove on in Picture 1, and he and his high school sweetheart, now wife, Sarah, in 2007!
