Tiny Patriots, our early childhood education resource fair, is scheduled for tomorrow, 4/5, in the basement of the Ohio County Public Library. Geared towards children ages 0-5, feel free to swing in between 11-1 to explore local community resources, meet some of our early childhood staff, win prizes, and participate in activities in the children's section of the library. For tomorrow, Wednesday, January 22nd, all Ohio County Schools will be closed due to freezing temperatures. Students will work remotely. Elementary students will complete snow packet day 4, and middle school and high school students will see work posted to Schoology no later than 10:30 AM.

Good evening. All weather reports indicate snow accumulation on top of frigid conditions tomorrow. This means that OCS will have its first non-traditional learning day on Thursday, 1/16. Remote learning will be in effect for all students. Students will work from home. Elementary students will complete snow packet day 1, and older students will use technology to complete posted work. Middle and high school teachers will post work no later than 10:30 AM. We'll be posting helpful non-traditional learning tips throughout the day tomorrow. Thank you, and have a wonderful evening.

Ohio County Schools Pre-K and Kindergarten registration opens tomorrow, 1/15/25. Pre-K registrants can register on the OCS website OR by calling 304-243-0333. Kindergarten registrants can register by contacting their home school. We are excited to now offer a 5-day-a-week Pre-K. We are looking forward to starting the 2025-2026 school year with our littlest learners!
