Business Education

At The Career Center at Wheeling Park High School, students can explore exciting business pathways through Accounting, Marketing Management, and Entrepreneurship. These hands-on programs build real-world skills in finance, branding, leadership, and innovation—helping students turn their interests into future careers.

Accounting

The Financial Management program equips students with the knowledge and skills to manage personal and business finances effectively. Students learn about budgeting, banking, investing, credit, financial planning, and the role of financial institutions. The program also introduces concepts of accounting, insurance, and risk management. With a focus on real-world applications, students are prepared for further education or careers in finance, accounting, banking, and related fields.

Marketing Management

The Marketing Management program prepares students for diverse marketing roles. Beginning with advertising, promotion, communication techniques, and market planning strategies, students gain practical insights through engaging projects. They explore essential marketing concepts including product/service management, brand enhancement, ROI analysis, and strategic market planning with a focus on retail marketing and corporate branding. The program emphasizes cross-media marketing strategies across traditional, digital, and emerging platforms, integrating messaging and branding for cohesive campaigns. Practical experience is provided through internships or simulated work experiences, enabling students to apply their skills in real-world marketing tasks and projects, enhancing their professional development and readiness for today’s competitive business and marketing environment.

Entrepreneurship

The Entrepreneurship program provides students with a comprehensive pathway to develop and launch successful ventures through a series of courses designed to cultivate entrepreneurial skills and knowledge. Through this program, students gain practical skills, knowledge, and confidence to develop and launch successful entrepreneurial ventures, ensuring they are well-prepared to navigate the complexities of starting and managing a business in today’s competitive landscape.
